Artworld of Sherway is pleased to present "DIVERSITY IN ART" a group exhibition featuring the work of New Gallery artists - Brian Smith, Jeanette Luchese and Richard Taylor. The Exhibition will explore diversity in art by presenting a series of paintings in the Figurative, Abstract and Modern Landscape styles.

About the Artists:
BRIAN SMITH:
"I have been drawing and painting the human form for over fifty years now and I continue to derive an enormous amount of pleasure from it. Whether a classical drawing of the nude in sanguine chalk or a more whimsical drawing of a group of figures in compressed charcoal or an abstracted painting of the figure, the thrill of the human form and the challenge of recording and interpreting that form and its gestures and surfaces keeps bringing me back daily. I am an artist because the human form inspires."
JEANETTE LUCHESE:
"I create in the spirit of the moment trusting in what is considered the historical absurd: gut instinct, urges, utterances, desire, and blinding passions. My art draws from and releases the creativity of the unconscious mind delving deeply into the nature of creativity guided by intuitive vibrations. Spatial illusion, tactile surfaces, and color relationships create ambiguous tensions within the context of what is real providing documentation of experiences, queries, and desires true to one's heart within a spirit of defiance [Against all Odds].
RICHARD TAYLOR:
"My Goal as a painter is to evoke an emotional sensation in my landscapes and recreate the sense of joy and peace that I feel in the outdoors. I want the viewer to look at one of my winter scenes they can feel their breath and when viewing a spring scene hear water flowing over stones".
